Southern-Alabama A&M women’s outcome decided in final seconds

With Saturday’s Southwestern Athletic Conference game on the line, Alabama A&M made the Southern women pay for two costly turnovers.

With the game tied 54-54 and less than one minute remaining, Southern turned the ball over on its last two possessions failing to get a shot off either time. After the second turnover, Alabama A&M’s Coriah Beck drew a foul driving to the basket with one second left.

Beck sank both free throws, and the Jaguars didn’t have enough time left for an answer as the Bulldogs slipped out of the F.G. Clark Activity Center with a 56-54 win…
