‘This will help’: Nashville organizations seek eviction pause following winter storm

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — There is a growing push to temporarily stop evictions in Davidson County as a result of the winter storm, according to NBC affiliate station WSMV.

The Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee, a nonprofit law organization, wrote an open letter to landlords about the topic.

“Our letter is plea to Nashville landlords for a compassion and little bit of time. We’re not asking landlords to excuse everyone from rent forever, what we’re asking here is time,” Elizabeth Leiserson of Legal Aid Society said…
