FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Franklin Fire Department responded to a car on fire inside a multi-level parking garage within an apartment building Friday night.
According to officials, the fire was reported just before 11 p.m. Friday at McEwen Northside Apartments. A Honda Odyssey van reportedly caught fire on the third level of the parking garage, which is fully surrounded by the apartment building.
FFD said crews were only able to access the garage through one entrance, so they used handlines and the standpipe system to extinguish the flames, which had been prevented from spreading by the building’s automatic sprinkler system.
Officials said no injuries were reported, and both the apartment building and parking garage were undamaged. The cause of the fire has not been determined…
