The Villages is still better than anywhere else in the world for the 55+ folks. There is no where else like it that feels safe, clean, and with so much to do to keep people aging in a healthy, positive way. If the growth of the new sections troubles someone, they do not have to go down there. For the people who choose to move to the far south, you have no reason to complain that there aren’t grocery stores, drug stores, gas stations, or any other stores for that matter. You saw that before you bought there.
I’m happy to have the new sections even though I don’t go down there often. It’s there if I want to visit. Yes, there is more traffic than when we moved here 8 years ago; but compared to where we lived on the beach on the gulf coast for 20 years, this traffic is nothing like…..
