Man charged after ‘improvised explosive device’ found along Nolensville Pike

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Metro Nashville Police Department is investigating a report of a “potentially dangerous material in a dumpster” outside a convenience store along Nolensville Pike.

According to police, Nolensville Pike between Interstate 440 and Vivelle Avenue, and Glenrose Avenue, were closed for some time Friday night.

Police said the material was found in a dumpster at the Mapco convenience store on the 2200 block of Nolensville Pike.

According to the MNPD, Nolensville Pike reopened in both directions as of 11:19 p.m., and the department’s hazardous devices unit secured the materials…
