The four members of the Albemarle Planning Commission who were present elected Luis Carrazana as the appointed body’s chair. The Associate Architect of the University of Virginia serves as the at-large member and was vice chair in the last two years.
Samuel Miller District Representative Karen Firehock will be the vice chair. Both Firehock and Rivanna District Planning Commissioner Corey Clayborne both have the distinction as also have served on the Charlottesville Planning Commission.
Commissioners Nathan Moore and Clayborne were not present at the January 13 meeting and there is still a vacancy in the Scottsville District to fill now that Fred Missel is a member of the Board of Supervisors…
