LOCKPORT, N.Y. — A firefighter was injured battling a chimney fire on Saturday in Niagara County.
The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center, shortly past 6 p.m. Saturday, received a call about a chimney fire at 7910 Lincoln Ave. in the Town of Royalton, southeast of Lockport. Deputies and responding fire personnel who arrived confirmed the fire had extended into the home.
Everyone inside the home did safely evacuate, though one resident was evaluated at the scene for smoke inhalation, the sheriff’s office said…
