Jackson State pulls away in second half to beat Mississippi Valley State 64-50

ITTA BENA, Miss. — Jackson State University’s women’s basketball team rallied in the second half to beat Mississippi Valley State 64-50 on Saturday at the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex.

The Devilettes led by three points at halftime but were held to just 20 points in the second half. Jackson State outscored Mississippi Valley State 34-20 in the final 20 minutes to secure the victory.

Mississippi Valley State, with a record of 4-17 overall and 3-7 in the SWAC, dropped its third straight game. Jackson State improved to 7-16 overall and 5-6 in conference play, snapping a two-game losing streak…
