Protective Order Suspect Arrested After Pursuit and Hours-Long Standoff in Little Elm

LITTLE ELM, TX – Little Elm Police Chief Rodney Harrison says officers safely arrested 40-year-old Matthew Sierra on Saturday, February 7th, following a vehicle pursuit and hours-long standoff.

On Friday, February 6th, the Little Elm Police Department received a report that Sierra had violated a protective order involving a minor. The violation was later reported to the child’s parent. When officers initially responded, Sierra was not located in the area.

Early Saturday morning, officers were proactively heading to check on the protected individual when they spotted Sierra’s vehicle at a gas station near the victim’s residence. When officers attempted a traffic stop, Sierra fled, leading to a short pursuit…
