The Olympics have kicked off in Italy, but volunteers at the Spring Valley High School cafeteria found themselves in a different type of competition on Saturday morning.
On Feb. 7, Spring Valley Baptist Church (SVBC) hosted its thirteenth annual Hunger Project, and aimed to hit the goal of packing it’s one millionth cumulative meal.
Over 250 volunteers gathered to package meals and scoop oatmeal, producing 51,200 Meals for the community, and, to the elation of workers, accomplishing their million meal milestone goal.
