Several Black-owned restaurants will be participating in “EatBlack: A York Black Restaurant Affair,” a two-week event designed to highlight and celebrate local eateries and drinkeries during Black History Month.
Edquina Washington and Nacole Gaines organized the event, which runs from Feb. 8 through Feb. 21. The two had the idea for a couple of years before deciding to move forward with it.
“It’s just an opportunity to provide our community with the ability to know where our Black eateries … and drinkeries are, enjoy themselves, and experience the rich flavor and culture of our Black cuisine here in York,” Washington said during a phone interview…
