Leslie wrestlers capture conference title

LESLIE — For the first time since its days in the GLAC in 2021, the Leslie wrestling team has captured a conference title.

The Blackhawks took first in the Cascades Conference Championship on their home mats on Friday, putting up 178.5 points. Columbia Central was second with 128. Napoleon edged Manchester for third. Michigan Center edged Hanover-Horton and Addison for fifth.

It is the first time a team other than Manchester has taken a Cascades wrestling title since the Dutchmen and Napoleon shared the crown in 2022. It is the first time Manchester has not won the title since Addison took the Cascades Conference for the fifth time in a row in 2007…
