2 women in 11-year-old murder case face bond hearing on intimidation charge

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — Women allegedly involved in the June murder case of 11-year-old A’Kyri Bell appeared in court Saturday morning for a bond hearing on a separate charge.

34-year-old Lakesha Burnett and 22-year-old Alantis Thomas both appeared in Horry County Magistrate Court for their bond hearing for one of their two recent charges: intimidation of court officials, jurors, or witnesses.

According to their arrest warrants, Burnett and Thomas were arrested on Thursday after they threatened and assaulted their sister, Alexandria Thomas, for providing a statement to the police in connection with A’Kyri’s murder case…
