Officers surround woman’s home after ex-boyfriend traps her in bedroom

A Leesburg man was arrested after allegedly walking into his ex-girlfriend’s house uninvited and trapping her in her bedroom.

The sister of 60-year-old Robert Lee Butler’s ex-girlfriend was standing outside her sibling’s Leesburg residence when she saw Butler walking down the street around 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.

She stood up from kneeling on the concrete porch as he approached the front door, and he used both hands to push her out of the way. He proceeded to open the unlocked door and go inside, uninvited. He then went into his ex-girlfriend bedroom, shut the door behind him and locked it, the report said.

Butler began to throw things around the room, accusing her of having someone under the bed. She talked to him before leaving her bedroom to gather his belongings from outside. At that point, he saw the police outside and ran back in to ask if she contacted them, the report said…
