RFD: House fire on Clifford Avenue, battling both the fire and freezing conditions on Sunday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Fire Department received multiple calls about a house fire at 874 Clifford Ave. around 10 a.m. on Sunday, stating they also had to prevent water from freezing during the response.

When the responders arrived at the scene, the temperature was reported to be minus four degrees, and all residents safely left the home.

Due to the extreme cold, additional responders entered the scene, and the fire was reported as under control just before 10:30 a.m…
