SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – The 100 Black Men of Savannah, Inc. hosted its Annual Community Health & Well-Being Fair today, Feb. 7. The fair occurred in conjunction with the Savannah Black Heritage Festival happenings.
Attendees received blood pressure and glucose screenings, Heart Sense evaluations, and health information sessions covered critical topics such as opioid use and misuse, and other health conscious lifestyle topics. The fair also included an AI cardiac screening from the Medical College of Georgia.
“We always believe in doing what’s best for our community”, said National Health and Wellness team member, Harold Oglesby, “That’s one of the pillars of the 100 Black Men of Savannah. We also believe in health and health and wellness education, economic empowerment, and mentoring. So we’re going to focus on making sure you have a healthy community and that we increase people’s longevity.”…
