SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – Closing arguments are expected Monday in the jury trial of Jaheim Mitchell, the man charged in the 2022 shooting death of Rashard Kinlaw.
Mitchell, now 20, faces multiple charges, including malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to the indictment.
The trial began last week in Chatham County Superior Court, with Judge Walmsley presiding. Jury selection started Tuesday morning and continued throughout the week.
Mitchell is accused of fatally shooting 21-year-old Rashard Kinlaw on October 16th, 2022 when he was just 17-years-old.
