NISKAYUNA, NY (WRGB) — A fierce residential fire engulfed a home at 2589 Englewood Ave. Saturday afternoon.
Niskayuna Fire District No. 1 was dispatched at 3:05 p.m. and arrived on the scene by 3:09 p.m. to find flames pouring from every window of the first and second floors, with the roof already collapsed.
Fortunately, no residents were inside the home at the time, though two cats were successfully rescued before the fire department’s arrival.
