Luxemburg man charged in fatal traffic accident

BROWN COUNTY – A Luxemburg man is being charged with two felonies, including homicide, after authorities said he ran a red light and caused a crash which resulted in the death of a 17-year-old girl.

Ashwaubenon Public Safety said a teenage girl was killed and her father was injured after a truck allegedly ran a red light and collided with their vehicle. Investigators said the driver of the truck, 69-year-old Douglas Proehl, was arrested for operating while intoxicated, as alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash.

The Ashwaubenon Department of Public Safety confirmed Feb. 3 that the teen killed in the crash was Chloe Bishop of Green Bay. Her father, Daniel Bishop, was critically injured…
