Authorities are investigating three separate fatal crashes reported between February 5th and February 7th across central and north-central Arkansas.
In Independence County, a two-vehicle crash occurred February 5th at 4:20 p.m. on Camp Tahkodah Road in Batesville. Investigators say a northbound Nissan Maxima crossed the centerline and struck a southbound Jeep Cherokee, which overturned. The Jeep’s driver, 76-year-old Wanda Floyed of Batesville, was killed. The other driver, Jan Harmon, 47, of Batesville, was injured and transported to White River Health. Conditions were clear and the roadway was dry. The crash is being investigated by Deputy Ethan Perez.
In White County, a fatal rollover happened February 7th at 10:25 a.m. on Tweedy Road in McRae. According to the Arkansas State Police, a northbound 2021 Polaris RZR lost control and overturned, ejecting the driver. Fifty-eight-year-old James Poe of Beebe was pronounced dead at the scene.
