ARLINGTON, Wis. (WFRV) – A man from southern Wisconsin was arrested for his fourth OWI after a deputy found him asleep behind the wheel on the highway.
According to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, an off-duty sergeant reported a disabled vehicle on Highway 60 near I-90/94 in Arlington around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 7.
The off-duty sergeant reported that the driver, later identified as Alex C. Feggestad, 48, was slumped over the steering wheel.

Deputies were able to wake Feggestad up and allegedly noticed signs of intoxication, ultimately determining that the man from McFarland was impaired.
Feggestad was arrested and taken to the Columbia County jail on the following charges:
- Operating While Impaired – 4th offense
- Resisting an Officer
