A 53-year-old man was shot multiple times inside a Chatham home Friday evening and later died at a hospital, according to Chicago police. The gunfire broke out about 5:40 p.m. in the 8000 block of South Eberhart Avenue. Officers found the man critically wounded, and he was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not yet been released as detectives work the case.
