Free Waianae resource fair celebrates West Oahu community

WAIANAE (HawaiiNewsNow) – Kids Hurt Too Hawaii and the state Department of Education’s Nanakuli-Waianae Complex Area are partnering together to put on the 2nd annual Aloha ‘Ia ‘O Waianae Fair on March 10 at Waianae Elementary School.

The free family-friendly event will feature free food boxes, performances, and more than 30 different programs and organizations offering resources for students and families across the Waianae coast.

“This work is so important and itʻs a kakou effort,” said Walker Rowsey, executive director of Kids Hurt Too Hawaii. ”We need to collaborate as public and community agencies about the grief being felt in the community and what is being done for healing and to help other struggling kids.”…
