— News and commentary about elsewhere covered by Quincy Quarry News
While local snow piles continue to plague Quincy locals, local officials are concurrently continuing to violate The First Rule of Holes by variously continuing to dig themselves in deeper and deeper.
For but opening examples holes so dug include word of the City of Quincy running out of salt while concurrently running over $900,000 overbudget on snow and ice removal only but halfway through winter as well as that local streets and sidewalks arguably look more ploughed than plowed outside of Quincy Square and various other favored venues.
And yes, Quincy Quarry News must currently note that it yet again scooped its media brethren via its so far exclusive reporting that the City of Quincy both has apparently ran out of road salt as well as is already 40% over budget for snow and ice clearing for whole of this fiscal year roughly but halfway through this year’s so far near record setting frigid snow season.
Needless to say, Punxsutawney Phil is already expecting blame to be piled high on top of him even though he is but the messenger of what is looking be will be a cold, long, and so far snowy winter not of his doing…
