Roasties Coffee has gone from a tent to a trailer and now a brick-and-mortar spot, and its story reads less like a business plan and more like a caffeine-fueled leap of faith. “What started as a hobby led to me quitting my full-time project management job to build out our little teardrop trailer,” says owner Melinda Schneck. From parking their mobile café on Route 100 to serving lines “fifteen to twenty people deep all day every Saturday and Sunday,” growth happened fast. When a permanent spot became available near Macungie Memorial Park, Schneck recalls, “It was perfect timing and a very, very easy yes for us!” Fan favorites include the Hunny Bunny Cold Brew, which Schneck calls “a cinnamon, vanilla and honey-flavored blend… topped with fluffy cold foam and a pure honey drizzle,” and the Monkey Biz Latte—her personal go-to. Add in gluten-free banana matcha muffins, ham and cheese croissants and breakfast burritos that sell out quickly and you’ve got a menu worth standing in line for. And yes, the trailer is staying. “It’s like our tiny sidekick,” Schneck laughs. “This café exists because of the people who cheered us on… We hope every visit to Roasties makes your day a tiny bit brighter.”
