  • BLU Point Seafood Co., 123 W. Beverley St., Staunton. Where the Chesapeake Bay meets the New England Shore, you’ll find favorites like lobster rolls, crab cakes, oysters and seasonal local catch served by friendly, knowledgeable staff in a welcoming and comfortable coastal atmosphere. The sea-to-table restaurant comes from Jeff and Susan Goode, the minds behind Zynadoa.
  • Yelping Dog Wine, 9 E. Beverley St., Staunton. A charming neighborhood wine bar, Yelping Dog Wine offers a warm and welcoming environment. Its inviting atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for casual gatherings and special occasions. Guests can enjoy an extensive selection of wines alongside a thoughtfully curated menu featuring craft beer, gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, and a variety of charcuterie and cheese plates.
  • Maude & the Bear, 1106 N. Augusta St., Staunton. Located in a 1926 Montgomery Ward kit house, Maude & the Bear offers a seasonal and evolving five-course tasting menu with 12-20 courses served at its “Kitchen Table.” Join celebrated Chef Ian Boden and his team for multi-course progressive menus featuring all the region has to offer. The menus pay homage to Boden’s Eastern-European roots and his wife and partner, Leslie Boden’s, rural Appalachian upbringing.
  • Zynodoa Restaurant, 115 E. Beverley St., Staunton. Fine dining offering inspired southern cuisine in a stylish, metropolitan setting. Connecting farm to table, Zynodoa uses only the finest, freshest ingredients seasonally available. Produce and livestock are primarily sourced from the Shenandoah Valley and Piedmont regions. Seafood comes from the Chesapeake Bay.
  • The Shack, 105 S. Coalter St., Staunton. Chef Ian Boden’s homey venue for upmarket New American fare in a snug space with mismatched chairs and funky wall art, The Shack is known for its out-of-this-world burger, homemade pastas and ice cream and recently its wood-fired pizzas made by Chef Michael Skipper.
  • Accordia Staunton, 114 E. Beverley St. Cozy and vibrant, this full restaurant, wine shop and wine bar, features over 600 (mostly organic) wines, 40 beers and ciders, cocktails, mocktails and non-alcohol craft beverages. Food is specialty-oriented or homemade, using fresh, local ingredients as well as fine imported meats, cheeses and olives.
  • Queen City Bistro, 23 E. Beverley St., Staunton. Offering unique presentations of Southern and Italian comfort food with unmatched hospitality. The restaurant strives to give you a warm welcome from the moment you enter until the moment you leave, its website says.
  • Edelweiss German Restaurant, 19 Edelweiss Lane, Staunton. With its warm paneled walls, friendly service and live music, this could be the perfect place for a family Valentine’s night out.
