WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — After losing her brother to homelessness, Lisa Uber decided grief would not be the end of his story. Instead, she turned it into action.
For the past two years, Lisa Uber, known by her community as “Mama Lisa,” has spent her nights delivering food, warm clothing and basic necessities to people experiencing homelessness across the Triad. What she says matters most, though, is something you cannot put in a bag.
