HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – There’s been a shocking revelation from defense attorneys in a Madison County mass shooting case. They claim more than a dozen pieces of evidence have been lost, deleted or destroyed.
Ashton Elliott is one of four men charged in this case. His attorneys say the loss of this evidence is enough to have charges against their client thrown out. This comes just two months after another suspect in the case had his charges dismissed due to a lack of evidence.
This goes back to the January 2023 shooting at a business in Brownsboro that was hosting a birthday party. Attorneys for Elliott claim he was hosting that party when it was attacked in a drive-by shooting. Several people inside the party returned fire. After hundreds of rounds were fired, two people were dead and dozens of others were hurt…
