VERO BEACH — Ellen Contreras, the creative force behind the Treasure Coast Connector, describes her podcast as a multimedia show highlighting the vibrant business community of the Treasure Coast, Florida. Broadcasting on iHeartRadio 107.9 FM every Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m., the show simultaneously captures the essence of local enterprises through both audio and video formats, noting that her interviews are accessible on multiple platforms.
Contreras, affectionately dubbed “The Connector,” began this audio-visual journey in April 2019. The inspiration originated from a networking event, where Donna Roberts Mitchell announced an opening for an iHeartRadio show host. Although initially hesitant, Contreras pushed past her inner doubts and ultimately conceived the show’s concept with clarity and passion. “I wanted to put a spotlight on local business owners and connect them to the people in the community,” she explained.
Navigating her first steps in podcasting, Contreras felt nervous yet exhilarated.
