For 12 years, Boyan Kalusevic, co-founder of San Antonio’s Dorcol Distilling + Brewing Co., hadn’t run into any problems working with one of the country’s largest alcohol distributors.
Until last year, Republic National Distributing Co. made every payment on time and in full.
But by the end of January, Kalusevic said, he was still waiting on thousands of dollars for invoices with Republic National dating back to October. He reached out for updates and to request payment, but got no response. Even though Dorcol was still shipping product for delivery, he said there wasn’t “any communication as to how long the delay would last or when a payment would be made.”…
