Clifton Park’s Lost Amusement Park

For 3 decades, Clifton Park had its own amusement park. Visitors reached the park by trolley, crossing an 1,800-foot bridge (then the world’s longest trolley bridge) for just a nickel.

The park (originally opened as “Luna Park” in 1906) offered a slew of attractions that would still impress even today!

The amusement park offered a little something for everyone: house of glass maze, the “Blue Streak” rollercoaster, a carousel, a ferris wheel spinning over the riverside, a “Whip” ride slinging riders around, a “Razzle Dazzle” ocean-wave machine rocking like a boat at sea, and even a flume.
