Pet owners beware: Millcreek Township sees increase in coyote activity

Millcreek Township’s animal resource officer said an increase in coyote activity is putting family pets at a higher risk of attack.

According to William Sandstrom, they have recently received an increase in coyote-related calls, and he’s encouraging pet owners to keep a close eye on their pets when letting them outside.

He recommended keeping them on a leash and watching them closely.

If a pet is left unattended, a coyote may see it as defenseless and take the opportunity to attack.
