High school custodian arrested for carrying pistols on UF campus

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Hamod Hikeem McNutt, 28, a custodian at Buchholz High School, was arrested yesterday for allegedly carrying two pistols on the UF campus.

At about 9:11 p.m. on February 8, a University of Florida Police Department officer reportedly saw McNutt walking on the University of Florida campus and noticed that McNutt turned to go the other way when he saw the officer. The officer requested backup to prevent him from fleeing, approached McNutt, spoke with him about his reason for being on campus, and requested his identification, which McNutt provided.

The officer reported seeing a bulging item in the front pocket of McNutt’s hoodie, and after McNutt reportedly said it was a weapon, he was detained and placed under arrest…
