Man charged with fatally shooting driver in Harrisburg who had been following him, police say

A 20-year-old man who was shot and killed while driving through Harrisburg last month had been following the shooter around in his car for a “considerable amount of time” that day, police said.

Mehki Brooks’ black Chrysler was seen on surveillance cameras on Dec. 30 trailing the silver Nissan that Marquan Long-Mason was borrowing from a woman when he shot out Brooks’ back window, hitting him once, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed Monday.

Long-Mason, 26, of Harrisburg, was charged Monday with murder and related offenses. Police did not say why Brooks would have been following Long-Mason or how they knew each other…
