A morning brawl in Oakland’s Uptown district turned into a shooting yesterday, leaving one man in critical condition and sending partiers scrambling as police converged on the 500 block of 17th Street near Telegraph Avenue. Officers said the gunfire broke out at about 4 a.m. during a fight that spilled into the street, and that several people at the scene scattered as patrol cars rolled up. Investigators said one person was taken into custody after allegedly striking a responding officer.
