A Pennsylvania woman was arrested for theft after bagging unpaid items and switching barcodes at Walmart.
A deputy responded to Walmart, located at 550 U.S. Hwy. 27, Clermont, for a theft involving 65-year-old Catherine Marco around 11:05 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Asset protection advised that was seen in the self-checkout bagging multiple things without scanning them. Surveillance footage confirmed she was bypassing the scanner and switching barcodes to make items cheaper. She repeated this process with $214.71 worth of merchandise, the report said…
