WARWICK, R.I. (WJAR) — Gov. Dan McKee signed an executive order on Monday to lower energy costs for Rhode Islanders and improve transparency.
Under McKee’s “Affordability for All” agenda, he claims Rhode Island will save $1 billion in energy costs over the next five years by adjusting the state’s renewable energy standard and taking advantage of other low-cost, low-carbon resources, such as nuclear energy and hydropower.
