New body-worn camera video shows police response to Brown University shooting

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — About 20 minutes of body-worn camera video from one of the Providence police officers who responded to the deadly Brown University shooting on Dec. 13 has been released to the public.

Nexstar’s WPRI is reviewing the video, which shows the point of view of Lt. Patrick Potter’s body-worn camera. The video shows Potter working to find out what parts of the building have been cleared to determine if they can locate the suspect or additional victims.

“Everybody in the building, continue to conduct a systematic search, just be careful,” Potter said in the video.
