Ohio golf course’s ‘Barndominium’ to open in spring

DOYLESTOWN, Ohio — The Chippewa Golf Club will soon give golfers the opportunity to roll out of bed and walk right onto the links.

Chippewa is building an on-site, 2,100-square-foot rustic lodge that can sleep eight to 12 people. The site is about 15 minutes southwest from Akron.

Dubbed the “Barndominium,” it will feature four bedrooms, two full baths, a large kitchen, 80-inch television, patio and firepit.

“This is going to be an amazing place,” said Danny Reeves, hospitality director at the course, adding that the facility will overlook the 18-hole golf course best known for a tough three-hole stretch called the “Bermuda Triangle.” “Even if they’re not a golf enthusiast, it’s going to be some great views.”…
