The number of violent crimes and property crimes reported in Worcester last year was the lowest in five years, according to the Worcester Police Department.
The department on Feb. 5 released statistics of reported crimes from 2020 to 2025. Most crimes, such as shootings, robberies, gunshots and vandalism, have steadily decreased each year.
