A 23-year-old was significantly injured in a snowmobile crash on a trail in Moultonborough, New Hampshire, late Saturday night, and now he’s facing a charge of driving while intoxicated.
Zachary Whittemore, of Oxford, Massachusetts, was hurt when he failed to negotiate a slight curve on the Corridor 15 snowmobile trail and his snowmobile struck a tree around 11:33 p.m., the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department said.
A fire department rescue vehicle took Whittemore to a waiting ambulance, which drove him to the Moultonborough Airport where he was transferred to a Dartmouth-Hitchcock helicopter and flown to their medical center in Lebanon for treatment, officials said…
