AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – Multiple agencies are working to contain fires that have broken out in eastern New Mexico and the Texas Panhandle.
Wheeler County, Texas
Crews are working to contain a fire near the McLean airport in Wheeler County.
Officials say the McLean Fire Department, Shamrock Fire Department, and Wheeler Fire Department are responding to assist with containment efforts.
According to the Texas Forest Service, 10 acres have been consumed and it is 65% contained as of 7:49 p.m.
