Southside shooting victim dies, charges may be upgraded

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A man has died days after being shot during a family disturbance in the southside of Corpus Christi, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department.

The shooting happened last Wednesday around 6:26 p.m. at the 4000 block of Ranch Lake Drive near Yorktown Boulevard and Sun Valley Drive.

CCPD Public Information Officer Madeline Vaughn said officers arrived to find a 47-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound and provided first aid until medics arrived. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, where he later died…
