BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — East Baton Rouge elected officials continue to push for improved street lighting across the parish. A North Baton Rouge man showed how it can be achieved through persistence and patience.
Henry Smith has lived on St. Gerard Avenue since 2005, and he said the street spent nearly two decades in the dark. For a while, that was not much of a problem.
