Alleged shooter of armored vehicle guard in Balch Springs faces federal charges

DALLAS, Texas — A Dallas man has been federally charged with attempted interference of commerce by robbery after allegedly shooting a security guard servicing a bank ATM in Balch Springs, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas.

Laroyce Antoine Lambert, age not provided, was charged by federal complaint on February 5, 2026. The complaint alleges Lambert attempted to rob an armored car while the security guard was servicing a Chase Bank ATM at 2329 Lake June Road, Balch Springs. During the incident, Lambert allegedly approached the guard with a firearm, demanded access to the ATM money, and fired three shots when the guard could not comply, stated the source. The guard, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds, was transported to the hospital.

Footage from the security guard’s body-worn camera reportedly captured Lambert with a firearm pointed at the guard. Responding agents and officers from the Balch Springs Police Department and Dallas FBI Violent Crime Taskforce obtained footage of Lambert fleeing the scene and entering a Dodge Charger. The FBI, in collaboration with the Fort Worth Police Department and Dallas Police Department, tracked Lambert and the vehicle to an apartment in Fort Worth, where he was arrested by the Fort Worth Police Department…
