Alamo Drafthouse has officially closed its doors for good in Lubbock. The closure on Sunday is the latest in the up and down rumors surrounding Alamo Drafthouse in Lubbock. The good news for movie theater fans is that another theater chain is rumored to replace Alamo.

Alamo Drafthouse Closes in Lubbock

Some fans of Alamo Drafthouse woke up stunned to learn that Alamo had officially closed its doors in Lubbock. It turns out that Saturday night was the final night of operation. Alamo opened in Lubbock back in 2014. During COVID there were rumors that it could shutdown, but they didn’t. Rumors of Alamo’s demise popped up again late last year, but Alamo marched on.
