WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A preliminary hearing was scheduled to be held on Monday for Shawn McMahon, a Sedgwick County detective charged with false writing and interference with law enforcement.
The hearing was continued by the defense. No date has been set for when it will take place.
The Wichita Police Department was asked to investigate McMahon in Dec. 2024 after the sheriff’s office reviewed McMahon’s work and found improper case closures and failure to thoroughly investigate criminal complaints between 2019 and 2024…
