After a seven-year thrift store drought, Hyde Park is back in the resale game.
Out of the Closet, a nonprofit thrift store operated by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, opened in the neighborhood last weekend at 1709 E. 53rd St. One of the nation’s largest charitable resale chains, Out of the Closet contributes 96 cents of every dollar earned to the foundation’s HIV prevention and treatment services.
