More evidence gathered in rape cold case against Albuquerque man

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The case against an Albuquerque man accused of raping two women more than a decade ago is growing. Carlos Parra-Cordova, 31, was arrested in 2023 after DNA from the two victims linked him to the crimes. This case stems from the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office’s efforts to clear a backlog of untested rape kits.

Investigators believe Cordova drugged one of his victims at a downtown bar in 2012 and abducted the other after offering her a ride home. He was 16 years old at the time…
