Water runs murky in South Salt Lake amidst increased sediment in water system

SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah (ABC4) — South Salt Lake residents are experiencing some murky water due to an increased amount of sediment in the city’s water system.

South Salt Lake residents took to social media on Sunday with photos of water from their homes that had run discolored and murky.

One resident, Holly Hill, posted photos of what the water looked like on Sunday evening on Facebook.

24 hours later, on Monday, South Salt Lake posted a statement on Facebook, diffusing the questions about the cause of the water’s discoloration. According to the statement, South Salt Lake’s water system is experiencing an increase in sediment.
